During a routine inspection
Patients told us they were satisfied with the care and treatment they received. One said, 'It was excellent'. Another said, 'They were very friendly on reception and made me feel very relaxed'. We saw medical histories were kept up to date, so staff would be aware of associated health risk to patients. There were appropriate arrangements in place to deal with medical emergencies.
Patients were cared for in a clean, hygienic environment. We viewed the practice at the start of our visit and found all areas were clean and tidy. Suitable processes were in place to sterilise used instruments and the practice had plans to upgrade these facilities.
We looked at the results of a patients' survey, conducted in March 2013. These showed patients were satisfied with the care and treatment they received. A range of audits was undertaken to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service patients received.
