Our view of the service
We carried out this on-site announced assessment on 2 September 2024. We found the practice had met regulations. The practice had systems to manage risks and recruitment procedures reflected current legislation. Infection control procedures followed published guidance and patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance. Patients were treated with dignity and respect. At the time of our assessment, patients could access care, support and treatment when required. There was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement. The practice is in Norwich and provides private dental care and treatment for adults and children. At the time of our assessment, the dental team included 7 dentists, 2 of whom also provide sedation, 2 dental hygienists who are also dental therapists, 3 qualified dental nurses, 1 of whom is also a treatment co-ordinator, 2 trainee dental nurses, 1 receptionist and 1 practice manager who is also a qualified dental nurse. The practice has 5 treatment rooms.
People's experience of this service
During our assessment, we received feedback from patients. These commented in particular, on the kind and courteous nature of staff and the high-quality service received by patients. The practice shared patient feedback with the team. We were told this was reviewed and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action would be taken.
