During a routine inspection

People who use the services from the agency were asked if they wanted to speak with us on the day of the inspection, however all with the exception of one person declined due to anxiety issues.

During our visit we spoke with one person who received support from the agency, one carer, the director and the Registered Manager. The person who received a service from the agency told us they were happy with the care they received.

The Registered Manager told us that original care plans and daily 'case recording sheets' were held in people's homes. Copies of these plans were stored in the office. We looked at the support plans for three people who use the services of the agency. We saw that a comprehensive assessment of needs had been completed before they had started to use the service and this was used to develop the individual's support plan.

People who use the agency were protected from the risk of abuse, because the provider had taken reasonable steps to identify the possibility of abuse and prevent abuse from happening.

Appropriate checks were undertaken before carers began work for the agency. All files checked complied with all legal requirements.

We saw that regular audits were completed by the provider ensuring that people who used the agency benefitted from a service that monitors the quality of care that people received.
