During a routine inspection
People said that their needs were met and that if they had any concerns they would speak with the agency.
We saw that care plans lead from an assessment of need and there had been the involvement of other health professionals if needed. There were risk assessments in place to ensure people were protected from the risk of harm.
Staff files evidenced that there was a through recruitment process in place and staff received induction training when they started working. Further mandatory training had been given, but it had not included specialist training.
People said they felt safe when receiving care. Care workers had received safeguarding awareness training on induction, but did not fully understand their roles and responsibilities.
The agency's complaints policy was clear and it included information about what process would be followed. We noted that any concerns had been dealt with and action taken if needed.
Records required for the purposes of inspection were stored securely and access to confidential information was limited. We found that records had been regularly updated and reviewed as required.
