Our view of the service

Care 4 U is a domiciliary care agency providing support to people in their own homes. Not everyone using Care 4 U received a regulated activity. CQC only inspects the service being received by people provided with 'personal care' for help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. At the time of the inspection the service was supporting 73 people who were in receipt of personal care. We visited the office on 22 April and 17 May 2024. On 24 April 2024 an expert by experience made telephone calls to 5 people and their relatives. An expert by experience is a person who has personal experience of using or caring for someone who uses this type of care service. We reviewed 7 quality statements in the key question of safe and 6 quality statements in the key question of well-led. For those key questions and quality statements not reviewed at this inspection we have combined the scores for these areas from the last inspection.

People's experience of this service

The effective management of the service, and the systems and processes in place, supported an open and transparent culture. People and their relatives told us they received good quality personalised care by staff who were well trained. Their care needs were met by the appropriate number of staff at the times their care was arranged. The quality of care provided was continually assessed and reviewed. People and their relatives were involved in their care and actively encouraged to provide feedback of the service, and when they did they were listened to and any minor concerns raised were resolved. Everyone we spoke with held the service in high regard and would recommend it to others. People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way and in their best interests: the policies and systems in the service supported this practice.
