During a routine inspection

People we spoke with said they were very happy with the care and the support they received from staff. They said the staff responded quickly to call bells and that the food was good. People told us they had regular access to physiotherapy and occupational therapy services although there were not many other activities held within the ward environment. One person we spoke with said that they had been unable to stand when they were admitted but they were gradually getting better. People told us that the majority of staff were very patient and some more than others. Another person told us 'staff gave me the impression they have all the time in the world even though they are very busy'.

We found that there were suitable procedures for planning and delivery of care and staff were provided with training to enable them to carry out their role. There were sufficient staff on duty to meet the needs of the people using the service. Records were stored securely and there were appropriate safeguarding measures in place.
