During a routine inspection
People who used the service told us that the home was "always clean and tidy". One person said, "My room is cleaned everyday and my sheets are changed regularly. I have clean clothes, the house is lovely - nice and clean".
Another person told us, "The home is always clean and fresh, never smells. It is not like living in your own home but it is lovely. Whoever comes to live here is very lucky".
We found that people’s needs were assessed and care and treatment was planned and delivered in line with their individual care plan and wishes. People knew about their care plans and told us that they had been consulted about their needs and preferences. One person said "I don't have anything to worry about. I like to get up early and staff always help me to get washed and dressed. They are very nice and very careful. I just have to say what I want and staff listen and see to it". Another person told us, "The staff encourage me to do things myself, they are very good in that way, they don't try to take over".
People using or visiting the service were asked for their opinions and views via surveys and questionnaires. Residents, relatives and staff meetings were held too. All of these provided people with the opportunities to comment on their experience of the care and support they had or would like to receive.
