During a routine inspection

As part of our inspection we spoke with two people who used the service and four relatives. The people we spoke with were from both the older person and learning disability parts of the service. We also spoke with the service delivery manager, three senior support workers and four support workers. We looked at six people's care files, records and service information.

People we spoke with told us they were happy and satisfied with the quality of the service provided. Comments included, 'I find the staff very professional and friendly. We couldn't manage without their support.'

People told us that they had been involved in the development of their support plans and felt that the support workers respected their opinions and decisions. Comments included, 'I'm happy with the support I receive, we have a chat, they make sure I'm ok. I usually have the same person to visit me, they're sound.'

People we spoke with said they were involved in reviews of their support package and felt able to raise any issues or concerns with the senior support workers. Comments included, 'The staff are brilliant, really good and the seniors support workers are great, very responsive.'

In this report the name of a registered manager appears who was not in post and not managing the regulatory activities at this location at the time of the inspection. Their name appears because they were still a Registered Manager on our register at the time.

During an inspection in response to concerns

We spoke with five people who receive a service from the agency. Four people who receive home care and one person who had a learning disability and who was being supported in the community. All five people told us that they were happy with all aspects of the service, and that the staff treated them with respect, and met their needs.

We spoke with four people on the telephone and one person face to face. Everyone told us that the care they were receiving was very good. We were told: 'The staff are marvellous.' 'I have been with other agencies, but I wouldn't swap this one, they are very good to me.' 'The carers are first class; they are the best, really considerate.' 'The staff are definitely very good, they treat me with respect, and they really look after me.' 'I am completely satisfied.'
