During a routine inspection
The staff are friendly welcoming and informative. The provider has created an atmosphere were excellence is promoted. We saw evidence of good communication and team working.
We spoke to two patients who reported they were very happy with the treatment they received at the practice.
We observed a patient journey from arrival to departure from the clinic for one patient. At all times the patient was treated with dignity and respect and communication with the patient was good.
The two patients we interviewed advised us that their treatment options and possible outcomes of their treatment had been fully discussed with them.
We talked individually with all the staff who reported they felt fully supported in their professional lives by the provider.
The computerised records were secured by password access only. The paper records were in a locked filing cabinet not accessible to patients. This means that patients can be assured that their confidential information is properly protected.
People's personal records including medical records were accurate and fit for purpose.
In the clinical governance file we saw policies and protocols for the day to day running of the practice. These records seen meant that the practice was compliant with all current legislation relating to dental practices.
