During a routine inspection

People told us they were happy with the support they received and said they were involved in decisions about how it was provided. One person said 'We have an annual review meeting. I'm not bothered about the meeting as I'm quite happy here.' People told us their rights to privacy, dignity and independence were upheld and respected. One person told us they go out on their own and they can do their 'own thing' in their house. A relative said 'My son has been using the service for about four years and he's the happiest he's ever been since he left home.'

People's care was planned and delivered in accordance with their needs. People had individual support plans which they were involved in developing and reviewing. We found that people's decisions were respected and that formal processes where used when people were unable to make their own decisions.

.

Staff had an understanding of safeguarding procedures and knew who to contact in the event of a concern. A complaints procedure was in place. People who use the service told us they would report complaints to staff or a manager.

People told us they usually had the same staff working with them. People said they liked this because it meant that they knew each other well.
