During a routine inspection
The people we spoke with said they would go to staff if they had any problems or concerns. We saw that meetings took place in all three shared houses every four to six weeks. The minutes of these meetings showed that people were asked if they had any concerns, and were reminded who to talk to if they were worried or uncomfortable.
The people we spoke with were positive about the staff. There were effective recruitment processes in place, and we saw that the necessary checks were carried out before staff started working in the service. Staff told us that there had been staff vacancies, which they had now filled. The service had used agency staff, all of whom had received an induction and were introduced to people using the service before they started working with them. Staff had regular appraisal, training and supervision.
The service had processes in place to monitor the quality of care it provided, and to identify and respond to any areas of concern.
