During a routine inspection
The service had a safeguarding vulnerable adults procedure in place. Staff spoken to were aware of their responsibilities with regard to reporting any suspicions of abuse. People told us they felt safe using the service. We found that checks were carried out on staff before they began working with vulnerable people including Criminal Records Bureau checks and employment references. This meant the service had taken steps to employ suitably skilled and experienced people.
People told us that they were asked for their views about the service. One person said "every so often they come round and ask how I am getting on." We found that systems were in place for monitoring the quality of service provided.
