During an inspection looking at part of the service
Records concerning infection control and decontamination processes had not been maintained. There were instances of poor recording keeping in all areas. No infection control audits had been carried out. On this visit we found that improvements had been made.
People's needs were assessed and care and treatment was planned and delivered in line with their individual treatment plan. Their medical conditions were assessed and recorded each time they visited the practice. Current medications they were taking were also recorded in their treatment plans. Standards for record keeping had improved.
There were arrangements in place to deal with foreseeable emergencies. There were effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection. Cleaning schedules had been put in place. Infection control audits had been undertaken and the results were used to improve the service.
