During a routine inspection
We were shown a schedule of attendance and the material from a training session which covered safeguarding arrangements for both children and adults, with contact details for the local teams. "The session gave us a lot more confidence about the signs to look for, especially as we have had no concerns." we were told and some changes in practice were identified.
The practice appeared to be clean and well maintained and there were arrangements for the disposal of waste in place. We were shown an 'Infection Control policy' and talked with the identified infection control lead, who showed us the area dedicated to the cleaning and decontamination of the instruments used and the processes in place.
The Registered Manager told us that he was particularly proud of the practice record for supporting staff development. "We've always been keen to assist them to develop and learn; it brings so much back into the work here."
It was clear from the documentary evidence which we reviewed and from our discussions with the staff and people who had used the service that account of was taken of feedback to improve the quality of the service.
