During a routine inspection
We looked at medical notes and saw that a detailed history was taken for each person. The diagnosis and proposed treatment had been documented and the person's consent had been sought to share the information with their usual GP. Where necessary, a referal to a specialist was made and all people received a follow-up phone call the following day to check how they were.
All staff had had the appropriate checks before they commenced work and had received safeguarding training. There were systems in place to monitor the quality of service provided. A number of audits had been carried out and we saw evidence that learning from incidents took place.
