Our view of the service
Date of assessment: 22 July 2024 to 13 August 2024. Crewkerne Health Centre is an NHS GP practice located in Somerset. The patient population was approximately 13,000 at the time of assessment. We conducted this assessment due to receiving information of concerns on access. We assessed 1 quality statement, Equity in Access, under the key question of Responsive and have combined the scores for the area with scores from the last inspection. At this assessment, we found the practice is aware of the concerns on access and actions have been taken to mitigate the impact. The practice collected patient’s feedback from various sources and responded appropriately.
People's experience of this service
People have mixed opinions about the quality of the services. Recent Friends and Family data showed a high level of good or very good experience, and their needs were met. However, the latest GP patient survey data showed that the good experience level is below national and local averages. An active patient participation group (PPG) represents the views of people using the service. Representatives from the PPG described the staff as dedicated, positive and orientated to patient care and they work extremely hard to provide the service.
