During a routine inspection
During our inspection we were told that the provider had decided to cancel the service from 14 March 2013. People receiving care had been given the agreed notice. We had received the cancellation application from the provider at the time of writing this report.
We spoke with the two people receiving personal care from this service. They told us they were very happy with the service provided. They said they saw the same carers and they always arrived on time. One person said 'we can not grumble at all, they arrive on time and do what I want, I have no complaints'. Another person said 'they are marvellous, they always stay for extra time if needed, they are very willing and always helpful'.
The manager sought views of people and staff but they did not have a system in place to assess and monitor how the service was provided, so they could identify and manage risks effectively.
