During an assessment under our new approach

We carried out this on-site announced assessment on 2 October 2024. We found the practice had met regulations all regulations. Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement. Patients were treated with dignity and respect and at the time of our assessment, could access care, support and treatment when required. Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance and infection control procedures were in place. The practice had systems to manage risks. The practice is in Knightsbridge and provides private dental care and treatment for adults and children. The practice was not step free, but there was a ramp to provide access for wheelchair users or those with prams. The practice was located on the first floor and there were steps and a lift to access it. The lift was not able to accommodate all types of wheelchairs. In the event of of access issues the provider had details of other nearby dental practices in the event of someone with mobility problems requiring treatment. Car parking spaces, including dedicated parking for disabled people, were available near the practice for a paid fee. The practice had 3 treatment rooms. During the assessment we spoke with the principal dentists, 1 dental nurse, and the practice manager.

Staff understood their professional responsibilities and adhered to infection control protocols. They demonstrated how they worked to reduce the risk and spread of infection.

People were treated by a staff that kept themselves up-to-date with developments in their profession and who felt well supported to do a good job.

The provider had in place a system to monitor the effectiveness and quality of service it provided to people. We read the raw data of questionnaires completed by people who had previously received treatment and noted that they rated the service highly.
