During a routine inspection
During our inspection we spoke with five people using the service and one relative. People told us that they were happy with their care, one person told us 'They are very good I am quite happy with them.' Another person said 'I am very, very happy, I'd be lost without them.'
We also looked at records and spoke with three staff. One member of staff told us 'I am always very involved with the care.'
People were protected from the risk of abuse because appropriate procedures were in place and staff had received training in this area. Staff told us 'If I suspected abuse I would report it straight away'. People told us that felt safe with their carers.
People told us that in general they felt that staff had enough time to spend with them. One person said 'They are outstanding, they are very good.'
People were not fully protected from the risks of unsafe or inappropriate care because the provider did not have a system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people receive.
A relative told us that complaints 'are sorted out straight away.' We saw records that showed us complaints were investigated. This meant if people raised any concerns the appropriate action had been taken.
