Before people received any care or treatment or before they were transported they were asked for their consent. Where people did not have the capacity to consent, the provider made sure any decisions were made in their best interests.
There were arrangements to make sure that any medicines required were available and stored safely. People's own medication was transported with them and kept safe. The ambulances were cleaned regularly so that they were hygienic and people were protected from the risk of infection.
People had equipment such as stretchers and carry chairs so that they were comfortable. Equipment was checked and serviced so that people were kept safe. There was a complaints and comments process so that people could give feedback about the service. Any complaints would be acted upon.
