Our view of the service

Godden Lodge is a nursing home providing accommodation, nursing and personal care for up to 133 older people, those with a physical disability, younger adults and people with dementia. At the time of our assessment, Godden Lodge was supporting 78 people. We looked at 15 quality statements in the key questions of safe, effective caring, responsive and well led.

People's experience of this service

People and their relatives told us they felt safe using the service and with staff. We observed many positive interactions between staff and people. People and relatives felt listened to when voicing their views. However, people did not always have equal access to social and leisure activities and the recording of information about people was not as robust as it could be.
