During a routine inspection
Both patients we spoke to told us that they had been involved in discussions with their dentist about the treatments available to them and the costs attached to these. We saw records that confirmed that patients had been involved in decisions about their treatment.
We spoke with five staff, two of whom were part of the practice management team. Staff were able to clearly describe the process for maintaining infection control within the treatment rooms.
We saw that within the practice that the communal areas and clinical areas were clean and hygienic with appropriate and maintained dental equipment in place.
We looked at four staff files. We found that staff had been provided with appropriate regular training by the practice.
There were processes and audits in place to review the quality of the service provided for patients.
