During a routine inspection
During our inspection we spoke with two patients. We also spoke with three staff; these were the practice manager, a dentist, and a dental nurse.
We also took information from other sources to help us understand the views of people who used the service, which included a patient satisfaction survey.
The patients we spoke with told us they thought they had received good dental treatment from the dentists. One patient told us 'I like coming here. They make it as comfortable as it can be when you have a toothache'. Another patient told us 'I have no issues with this dentist at all'.
The practice was following appropriate guidance in relation to infection control and the staff were well trained and supported. A member of staff we spoke with told us 'The system we use for decontamination is very good'.
Staff we spoke with said that they had undertaken training for safeguarding vulnerable adults and children. We saw systems and information in place in respect to safeguarding. The practice also had systems in place to monitor the quality of the service provided, and to gain the views of the patients.
