During a routine inspection
One person we spoke with said; “We are very happy with Juice Care. We’ve never had any problems and they are all so nice.” Another person told us; “My relative is very particular but Juice Care are the best company we’ve ever had by far”
All of the people we spoke with told us they knew their carers and said they were always ‘smiling’ and ‘ready to work’. One person said; “We know them all and we love them all. You can tell that they actually want to do this job.”
The three carers we spoke with told us Juice Care was a good organisation to work for, where they knew a good service was provided and where they felt they were supported by their managers. All staff members we spoke with said they felt there were enough staff employed at the service and that no one is pushed for time. One staff member said; “They are the best company I’ve ever worked for. We get lots of support from other staff and managers.”
There were effective systems in place to ensure people who used the service had given consent to their care and treatment. We saw that each person using the service had been required to sign their care plans, or had had their care plans signed by a relative or relevant other.
We found that there were effective systems in place for handling complaints and compliments and this information was made readily available to all. We saw that one compliment that had been received said; “Never have I worked for such a wonderful organisation. I am honoured to be part of Juice Care and feel very proud to be part of such an amazing team.”
We found that records were maintained and kept up to date, including any changes following care plan reviews.
