During a routine inspection
One person we spoke with said, 'I sign all the plans to say I understand them.' We found that people had signed their treatment plan to consent for the treatment they received.
We found that dental records showed that oral health was promoted, and appropriate advice was given to people. One person said, 'This is the best place I could come to, the service is excellent.' People had their medical history recorded and reviewed frequently.
We looked at decontamination processes and found that arrangements were in place to minimise the risk of infection.
Arrangements were in place to ensure that appropriate checks were carried out before staff were employed.
We found that systems were in place to ensure people could complain and provide the service with their comments. All the people we spoke with were complimentary about the service and the dentist.
