During a routine inspection
People said they were told about their treatment and that staff explained the treatment they had consented to receive. A person said "The doctor talked me through everything and told me what he was doing next.' Another person said 'The pros and cons were explained.' This helped people to feel informed.
People said they were very happy with the standard of cleanliness and infection control in place.Comments from people included: 'The department was very clean. The nurses and doctors used gloves and sterile equipment'and 'It was spotlessly clean and tidy. Staff wore gloves and washed their hands.'
People told us there was enough staff to attend to them in a timely way. A person said "There was enough staff. They knew what they were doing.' Another person said 'There were enough staff and nurses to meet my needs. They worked well and did not talk over me.'
People told us that they had no complaints about their care, treatment or the quality of the service provided to them. One person said "I would have raised concerns or complaints, but I had none.' There had been no complaints received about this service.
