During a routine inspection

We visited 5 Jubilee Court dental practice and met with a dental nurse and the receptionist as well as a Clinical Governance Lead employed by the company. There is one dentist, a receptionist and four dental nurses employed at this dental practice. One treatment room is available to provide examinations and treatment to people.

This review visit was discussed and arranged with the practice a few days in advance.

This was to ensure that we had time to see and speak with staff working at the practice, as well as people registered with the practice where appropriate. Following our visit we spoke with six people who are registered with this dental practice and asked for their views of the service they receive.

Five of the people spoken with were happy with the service provided by the dental practice, one person was unhappy with the outcome of some recent treatment. People commented "the new dentist is lovely." "All of the staff are friendly, they make you feel at ease." "The surgery has been refurbished, I hope they can keep up the good standard, it looks spotless."

We were told that people can generally get appointments when needed and one person commented, "staff at the surgery are very accommodating, I always get an appointment when I need one."

The reception area provides information for people using this service, this includes a comments and compliments book, to enable people to record any concerns or compliments that they may have. A suggestions box and satisfaction surveys. A leaflet giving information about the services provided by the practice was also available on the reception desk.

People receiving care and treatment from this practice can either pay privately or can access their dentistry through the NHS. The practice has a current contract with the NHS to provide NHS dental care to people.
