During a routine inspection

People told us they were very satisfied with the care and treatment provided at Red Rose Dental Surgery. They were given good advice about their treatment requirements and discussed their options before any treatment was provided. One person told us 'I've been attending this practice since 1970. The dentist I see is very nice. In fact I am so relaxed with him I think he has put me on his 'Christmas list' he knows me that well. He is very professional though and will always explain my treatment with me and ask me what I want. I tell him, you're the professional get on with it. I've no problems at all. A very good experience all round'.

We found suitable arrangements were in place to protect people from abuse and the risk of abuse. All staff employed were subjected to character checks and their registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) verified.

People were protected from the risk of infection and they were treated in a clean hygienic environment. There were systems in place to identify, assess and manage risks to the health, safety of people using the service and others. People could give feedback on the service they had received. Written comments included 'like visiting friends', 'patient care is very good'. And 'This is the third visit to Red Rose Dental Group and I am impressed by the attention I have received, thank you'. 'I was treated with the utmost courteous and kindness by the reception staff'.
