During a routine inspection

Patients we spoke with told us they were satisfied with the service they received. People told us they were treated with respect and that the staff were polite and knowledgeable. We spoke with six patients and were told that the dentist and all staff in the practice always took the time to explain the treatment that was planned. They told us they were given clear information about the costs and timescales.

The practice had procedures and policies in place to promote and maintain the appropriate standards of infection control. The building was clean and hygienic throughout and equipment was regularly checked and monitored. All clinical staff completed training in infection control.

Staff completed training in adult and child protection.

The practice had systems in place to monitor and audit quality and risk. Regular audits were carried out for example on health and safety, infection control and the servicing of equipment.
