We received written assurance that all expired medicines contained within the first aid and medical emergency boxes had been replaced. We also saw that checklists had been produced to aid the monitoring of medicines kept within the service.
We saw from documents provided by the provider that a confidentiality policy and procedure had been written and circulated among staff. A medical emergency plan had been written and had also been circulated for staff to read.
Surgery cross infection procedures had been revised and checklists had been produced to ensure that cleaning and infection controls which had been completed had been correctly recorded.
