During a routine inspection

We were only able to speak to one person on the day. The person was satisfied with the care and treatment received. They told us, "the service is amazing because they explained everything" and "they gave me options, explained prices and the work was impressive." Because we were only able to speak with one person, we spent time looking at patient feedback from questionnaires. Generally the comments were positive. They included 'honestly thrilled to bits' and 'the best practice I have been too.' A detailed medical history was taken for each person and discussed during the appointment.

The person we spoke with told us the practice was always clean, tidy and they had no concerns with the hygiene. There were effective systems in place to reduce the risk of infection. Staff were able to describe the decontamination process to us and provide evidence to show that checks were carried out on equipment used.

Staff received suitable training and were registered with their professional bodies. The person we spoke with told us they felt well treated by competent professionals.

The person we spoke with said if they had any concerns or complaints they would discuss them with members of staff, the practice manager or the dentist. They were confident of using the complaints system if they needed to.
