During a routine inspection
People felt that they had been given sufficient information about their care and treatment. The dentists and other staff used pictures, props and annotated sketches to explain the treatment required. A detailed medical history was taken for each person and any allergies or medical conditions were recorded and discussed during the appointment.
There were effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection. Staff had been trained in infection control and for emergency situations.
The necessary checks had been carried out on prospective employees before they could start work. There were systems in place to monitor the quality of the service, and staff meetings took place to discuss feedback received.
In this report the name of a registered manager appears who was not in post and not managing the regulated activities at this location at the time of the inspection. Their name appears because they were still a registered manager on our register at the time.
