During a routine inspection
People said they had enough information about the service. Patients we spoke with valued the service highly and praised the drivers although there was more mixed feedback about waiting times. One person said, "they are always very nice" and this was a typical comment. The service tracked patient feedback throughout the year and this was generally positive.
We found the patient transport vehicles were in good condition and regularly maintained. The service ensured that its staff were appropriately qualified and checked. The service had clear safeguarding procedures with which the staff were familiar.
We found that the provider routinely monitored the quality of the service and was working with the trust to develop the patient transport service in the longer term.
