During a routine inspection
Patients told us 'everyone's very friendly here, I have been coming here since it opened.' We were also told 'you know the costs and everything that's planned, there are no surprises.' During our inspection we saw information available for patients, including treatment options and price lists.
People were given choices and time to make decisions about their treatment options. We saw copies of treatment plan estimates which people had been given. Medical histories had been reviewed at each visit. We saw computer records that confirmed that medical histories had been updated regularly.
Safeguarding training had been completed by all staff. Staff displayed a good level of understanding around recognising and reporting safeguarding concerns for both children and adults. Safeguarding policies and procedures were available for staff.
Infection control audit tools had been completed, and cleaning check lists were seen. Staff had received appropriate training and support to ensure that infection control procedures were followed and maintained. This provided assurance that systems were in place to protect people against infection control risks.
Checks and audits were seen to be in place to assess and monitor the quality of the service provided.
