We spoke to six people who used the service. They told us they were satisfied with the care and treatment provided by the dentist. People said the dentist had discussed a range of options prior to providing treatment. They were able to choose the treatment they preferred. One person said, 'I am very much involved and consulted in any treatment that I need.' A second person said, 'The dentist gives me time to consider any proposed treatment options.' A third person said, 'The dentist explains the treatment options which are available. She then leaves it to me to make the final decision.' A fourth person said, 'The dentist provides me with detailed information about my treatment. If I am unsure about the information I can ask questions.'People said, 'The practice was very clean and tidy'. One person said, 'The cleanliness of the surgery is superb.'
People said they were aware of how to make a complaint. However, they have never had the need to make one.
We found the service had procedures in place to protect people from the risk of abuse. The service operated in a clean environment to prevent the spread of infection. People were looked after by staff who were appropriately recruited. There was a procedure in place to ensure complaints were responded to appropriately.
