During a routine inspection
During our inspection we asked people visiting the dental practice what their experience was like. Comments included 'I came here on a recommendation, I am very pleased', 'This dentist has a good reputation' and 'My family has been coming here for a very long time. That tells you we are very happy.'
During our visit we saw that effective systems were in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection.
Staff received appropriate professional development. We saw evidence that the dental staff maintained their registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) and were up to date with their continual professional development which is required to maintain their GDC registration.
We viewed the complaints policy. This provided detail of timescales for responding to complaints and the various stages of investigation, including the next steps if the person was not satisfied with the response from the dentist. People we spoke with told us that they had no concerns or complaints about the dental practice. They all said that they would raise it with the practice or not return for further treatment.
