During a routine inspection
Patients we spoke with told us they were involved in their dental plan and were made aware of treatment costs. We viewed six patient records and found these contained appropriate information regarding previous examinations and treatments.
We toured the practice and found it to be clean, hygienic and free of clutter. Dental instruments were decontaminated in line with the Department of Health standards. Relevant hygiene and infection control guidelines were followed.
Staff told us they attended regular training and felt supported by management. We saw evidence that staff were appraised annually and that communication between team members was good. Staff attended regular team meetings.
Patients we spoke with were happy with the care provided and had no complaints. The practice's complaints procedure was clearly displayed. We also noted a comments box was available for patients.
