There were arrangements in place to deal with foreseeable emergencies. We saw that the practice had emergency drugs and oxygen available which may be needed to deal with any medical emergencies should they arise.
We saw that the practice had effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection. Staff were able to demonstrate that they were aware of the safe practices required to meet the required standards.
There were robust policies and procedures in place, examples seen was a health and safety policy, an iInfection control policy and a legionella risk assessment. The latest leigonella risk assessment took place in January 2013 and found no concerns.
