During a routine inspection
People expressed satisfaction with the standard of service they received. In response to a recent survey, carried out by a specialist commercial company people had written; 'I get a consistent, friendly and competent service' and 'I like the professional care and treatment provided by the team'.
We found that the service took account of people's health before recommending treatment. One person told us, 'It's the first thing they ask when you sit down. Is there any change to your health?. I think they're interested in whether you're taking any medication".
In response to the above survey people had written; 'My one emergency was dealt with brilliantly' and 'The staff and clinical team are always welcoming and very professional at all times'.
We saw that people were treated in a clean well maintained environment. Staff had been trained in safeguarding people from abuse and the provider had introduced procedures to minimise risk and promote the reporting of any concerns about abuse.
We found that no complaints had been recorded in the service recently and that 84% of the 80 people who responded to the recent satisfaction survey had indicated that they had been either confident or quite confident that comments or complaints they made would be listened to and dealt with effectively. We found that an effective complaints procedure was in place.
