During a routine inspection
The patients we talked with were happy with the treatment they received at Fog Lane Dental Practice.
One patient said: "My dentist is very polite and explains things well. They make me feel comfortable."
Another said: "The dentist treated me nicely. Really helped my teeth."
Other comments were: "The dentist is lovely. They get on with the job, and talk you through it. They don't talk over me to the nurse."
"I like the patient experience. I have no complaints."
The practice had recently recruited two part-time hygienists. One patient said: "The advice from the hygienist has helped me."
We found that the practice was near the start of a building project which was designed to improve the waiting area for patients as well as other parts of the practice.
We found that the cleaning and sterilising of equipment was done to a satisfactory standard. We found that staff recruitment was consistent with regulations, and that the practice had adequate systems in place to monitor the quality of its service.
