During a routine inspection
We spoke with three people who had received treatment at the practice. People expressed their satisfaction with the service they had received. One person said "the dentist explained the treatment plan and provided me with some options. I had time to think things through before deciding to go ahead." A second person told us "the dentist and his staff have it just right here; they feel like friends." A third person told us the whole family came to the practice and "would not consider going anywhere else." People's needs were assessed and care and treatment was planned and delivered in line with their individual treatment plan.
People who use the service were protected from the risk of abuse, because the provider had taken reasonable steps to identify the possibility of abuse and prevent abuse from happening. There were comprehensive policies and procedures in place to recognise and deal with abuse.
People expressed a high degree of confidence in the abilities of the staff. Members of staff had professional development opportunities and weresupported to attend these. People were looked after by staff who had been appropriately trained and supported.
We saw the practice was clean and well-maintained.
