We found the practice had not met all regulations.

The infection control procedures in place were not effective. Improvements were needed for Legionella protocols, decontamination processes, storage and segregation of clinical waste and sharps bins, and environmental cleaning.
The practice had ineffective systems to identify and manage risks. Improvements were needed to governance processes surrounding the medical emergency kit, stock and material control, and risk assessments. In particular health and safety, substances hazardous to health and sharps risk assessments.

Leadership and oversight of the service was not always effective. Processes for continuous improvement required improvement.
