We found this practice was providing caring services in accordance with the relevant regulations and had taken into consideration appropriate guidance.

Kindness, compassion and dignity
We received feedback from 8 patients prior to our on-site visit. On the day of our assessment, we collected patient feedback from a further 5 patients. Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. Patient comments included that staff were welcoming and attentive, acted with integrity, and showed compassion. One patient said, ‘All staff are very lovely, they are helpful and nothing is a problem for them’. Patients said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate. One patient commented: ‘Have been going to this dentist for years, the reason being is that they are all very friendly, put you at ease and explain in great detail what the treatment you are having involves’. Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected. One patient said, the dentist ‘makes sure you are comfortable and gives advice on what is best and how to improve to help you look after yourself.’ We were provided with a patient survey, including feedback from 135 patients. Most patients rated their experience prior to and during their appointment excellent or good. All patients said that they would be happy to refer a friend or family member to the practice.
Staff were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights. Staff were aware of the importance of privacy and confidentiality. Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles. Leaders described how they supported the wellbeing of staff.
