We spoke with five people who used the service and three members of staff. People told us they were happy with the care and treatment provided. One person told us, 'I have no complaints about my care whatsoever'. Another person told us, 'The dentist always explains what treatment needs doing and explains what choices are available to me'.People told us they were involved in the planning of their treatment and were treated with care and respect. We observed people being communicated with in a professional and friendly manner.
Care and treatment was based upon guidelines and individual need. We saw that people were cared for and treated by staff who had the appropriate knowledge and skills.
During our inspection the practice appeared clean and tidy. We observed staff following policies and procedures to protect people from the risks associated with infections.
We saw that effective recruitment and selection processes were not in place and that the provider did not have an effective system to identify, assess and manage risks to the health, safety and welfare of people using the service.
