During a routine inspection
We spoke with five people using the practice. All were very complimentary about the care they received. Comments included, "I can't fault it here. The staff are very helpful" and 'I'm very satisfied with my treatment here. Everyone is very good. I never have any complaints.' Also "I'm 18 I've been coming here since I was a child. Mum comes too. Everyone is very friendly. The place is clean. I have no complaints."
The provider is Offerton Fold Dental Practice Ltd, part of the Integrated Dental Holdings Group, more commonly known as the IDH group, which is Europe's largest dental corporate company.
The premises were refurbished almost one year ago when the practice became part of the IDH group.
We found that people were treated in a way that supported and promoted their welfare.
We looked at people's notes, treatment plans and records and found them to contain clear and relevant information, but peoples paper records and x-rays were not kept in a locked cabinet.
The practice was clean and hygienic. Suitable equipment was available and processes were in place for cleaning, decontaminating and sterilizing instruments.
We found that staff were properly recruited, proper staff checks were undertaken and that on-going training was well evidenced for all staff.
A complaints procedure was available.
