During a routine inspection
Written copies of treatment plans were routinely given to people who use the service and follow up appointments were made as appropriate. People who use the service told us that they were "satisfied" with the quality of the care they received. One person told us that they were "happy" with the care they received.
The environment was clean and tidy on the day of the inspection and people who use the service told us that practice was always clean. Instruments were appropriately decontaminated and stored safely.
The practice was staffed by three dentists, two dental nurses, a part-time hygienist and a receptionist. Staff had undertaken training including infection control, basic life support and child protection. Dental nurses were appraised on their performance on an annual basis.
Satisfaction surveys were carried out on an annual basis. Analysis of the latest survey found that people feel that the practice was a "friendly place with good quality of performance". Clinical audits were carried out for example on treatment records.
