During a routine inspection
We reviewed three people's plans of care and found that these were up-to-date. Peoples' care and general health information was checked each time a person visited the surgery for an appointment. The practice held emergency equipment and drugs. People were assured that that they would receive prompt and safe care in the event of a medical emergency.
Our review of the dental practice's infection control demonstrated to us that Smiles Better Dental Care surgery followed Department of Health (DH) guidance for the control and prevention of infection.
We reviewed staff recruitment and previous employment references, Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checks and photographic identity records and found these to be up-to-date and valid.
The practice sought the views of people who use the service and members of staff to ensure that the practice improved the quality of care provided as much as was reasonably practicable.
