During an inspection looking at part of the service
We talked with four people who were visiting the dentist on the afternoon of the follow-up compliance visit. Three out of the four people had been using the practice for more than five years. We asked people their opinion about the cleanliness of the surgery and whether they felt able to let the provider know what they thought about the service.
People said they felt the surgery was clean. We were told:
'It's clean' and 'They clean up very well in the surgery.'
One person brushed their hand along the window-sill to show they were confidant that the surface was clean and free from dust.
Although we saw a number of completed customer satisfaction surveys, the people we talked with said they were unaware of the survey but would have been happy to fill one in. People also said they felt able to give their opinion directly to the dentist or dental nurses.
We were told: 'I haven't got a complaint, but the dentist would listen if I had one' and 'The staff are helpful nice people.'
