During a routine inspection

There were no people available to speak to during this inspection. Instead we reviewed feedback from people who had used the service. The feedback was generally very positive. People felt that staff were professional, treatment choices were clearly explained and the practice was well maintained.

People were given appropriate information regarding their treatment. A range of leaflet were available in the waiting room. The provider had a website where information relating to the practice, treatments and fees were available to people. People's needs were assessed and individual treatment plans drawn up in line their with needs. There were arrangements in place to deal with foreseeable emergencies.

There were effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection. The decontamination of reusable instruments was in line with published guidance. Staff had received recent infection control training. On the day of our inspection the practice was visibly clean and well maintained.

Staff received appropriate professional development. We saw records that confirmed that the dentist and dental nurse had completed sufficient training for their continuing professional development. There were systems in place to review and monitor the quality of the service.
