We found this practice was providing safe care in accordance with the relevant regulations and had taken into consideration appropriate guidance. The provider had made improvements in relation to the regulatory breach we found at our inspection on 13 May 2024.

At the assessment on 26 June 2024, we found the practice had made the following improvements to comply with the regulation: The practice now had a recruitment policy and procedure to help them employ suitable staff, including for agency or locum staff. These now reflected the relevant legislation and included obtaining satisfactory evidence of conduct in previous employment, obtaining evidence of immunity to Hepatitis B and requesting a full employment history. We saw that this improved process had already been used in the recruitment of new staff. Additionally, we saw that enhanced Disclosure and Baring Service certificates had been requested for all staff.
